A brilliant way to be more environmentally friendly when buying candles. Stump and Co candle jar refills are designed to be placed inside your empty Stump and Co candle glassware. They are available across our wide fragrance range and jar sizes.

  3. When ordering choose your refill size to match your original glassware size.
  4. Select your new refill fragrance.
  5. Enjoy your original candle until approx. 5mm of wax remains and you are ready to clean your jar. See how here

How does it work?

Once you have used up your original Stump and Co candle scent in our wood wick jar range, simply clean the glassware following these instructions and place your refill inside of your used jar.
Each candle refill has been carefully moulded to ONLY fit the shape of our Stump and Co jars and may not fit other jars or canisters.

CANDLE CARE

  1. To light your wood wick candle start by tilting and holding the vessel at a 45° angle. Light the wick on one side, allow the flame to flow naturally across the wick. Hold the flame to wick for 15-20 seconds.
  2. Burn the wood wick candle until the top surface of wax has melted evenly to the edge of the jar before extinguishing. this may take between 30 minutes to four hours after lighting depending on vessel size. A full pool of melted wax will keep the candle from tunneling.8
  3. Trim your cooled wick to 5mm before relighting each time. This can be done by simply pinching off any loose black ash and lighting the fresh wood underneath.
  4. Discontinue use of the candle when 5-10mm of wax remains or steel tab is visible.
  5. Clean the jar by placing it in your freeze for 15 minutes. You will be able to crack and remove the hardened wax. Brilliant! Now you are ready for a refill candle. See refills here.

CANDLE SAFETY

  • Place the candle on a heat-resistant surface when burning.
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended, near pets or children.
  • Keep away from combustibles, drafts, vibrations, or anything that may be flammable.
  • Keep wax pool free of debris.
  • Burn for periods of no more than 4 hours.
  • Discontinue use of the candle when 10mm of wax remains or steel tab is visible.
  • Do not pick up a burning candle or immediately after it’s been blown out.

How do I clean my glassware?

  1. Enjoy your original candle until approx. 5mm of wax remains.
  2. Allow the wax to cool and set again
  3. Use a hairdryer to soften the wax.
  4. Once the wax has softened use a chop stick or alike, to agitate wax in a circular motion until it dislodges and dispose of wax. Never pour wax down a sink or plumbing as it will set hard.
  5. Wipe jar dry with some paper towel
  6. Remove new wax refill from all packaging.
  7. Insert refill into the glass jar
  8. Light wick and burn the candle until the melt pool reaches the edge of the jar. This ensures an even burn and prevents a cavity from forming.
