3 easy steps to a clean candle jar!
G’day candle loving mates! So you’ve purchased a candle refill, great choice! Here you’ll find our hot tips on how to clean your candle jar in preparation for the refill. Follow these simple steps below for a perfectly prepped jar… It really is as easy as 1,2,3!
Step 1
Boil the kettle and grab a large bowl that will fit your candle jar.
Step 2
Place candle jar in bowl and pour boiling water in, enough to cover the wax. Wait a few minutes for the wax to soften.
Step 3
Once the wax has softened use your fingers or a butter knife to crack or twist the wax out. Give the inside of the candle a wipe-down with a clean cloth or paper towel. And you’re done! Do not clean glassware in a dishwasher or use hot water or scrubbers on the outside of the jar, or you will remove the amber tint.
HOT TIP – You can remove the wick tab and use the leftover wax in a wax melter! We love ZERO waste here at Stump & Co. The metal clip can be cleaned and placed in your recycling bin.
REPLACEMENT STICKERS – We suggest you place your new sticker over your old one to avoid peeling the amber tint off the glassware.
