- Preheat your pan and melt a tablespoon of unsalted butter.
- Split the hot cross buns in half horizontally, creating a top and bottom bun.
- Place the buns in the pan with the cut side facing up. Toast them until they turn golden and slightly crispy.
- In a separate pan, cook the maple bacon over medium heat until it becomes perfectly crispy, and pour maple syrup on top while cooking.
- Remove the toasted buns from the pan and place them on a serving plate.
- Take the cooked maple bacon strips and layer them generously on the bottom half of each bun.
- Add more maple if desired. We highly recommend it.
